Las Vegas, NV, November 4, 2024 – Continental now offers a line of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) blind spot sensors for some of the most popular Ford models from 2016 through today. The OE blind spot sensors alert drivers to relevant objects within the vehicles blind spot and easily distinguishes between static and moving objects. The blind spot sensors will be available in Q2 of 2025.
Continental offers blind spot sensor application coverage for popular Ford passenger car and light truck models including the 2017-20 F-Series (2016-22 F250/350, 2017-up F150), 2018-19 Expedition/Navigator, 2017-up Transit Connect, 2019 Ranger, 2019-up Edge/Nautilus, 2018-19 Mustang, and 2019-24 Explorer.
“The increase in ADAS enabled vehicles in operation (VIO) and safety features becoming standard equipment instead of optional on vehicles, has created demand for replacement parts in the aftermarket,” notes Manish Sethi, Head of Product Management, Continental. “Continental is excited to introduce these ADAS blind spot sensors as a part of our new Collision Portfolio offering to the aftermarket. In addition to blind spot sensors, Continental is also introducing a line of air bag sensors to give shops and technicians more repair opportunities for their customers.”
